In order for websites to be available publicly, 24 hours a day, they are hosted on powerful computers (called "web servers"). A web server makes the websites available to millions of users simultaneously, and has enough power to handle each user's clicks and typing. Hosting services own and run web servers. For a fee, they host websites created by their clients, and make sure that the servers get all needed upgrades as well as keeping them running 24 hours a day.

Hello, My Name Is Matt!

Thanks for using the Norfolk Web Design Directory! My name is Matt Whelan and I am a web designer from Los Angeles. I spend most of my days building websites with Drupal, CakePHP, PHP, MySQL and jQuery, just to name a few.

I started building web design directories way back in the year 2005. My primary goal has always been to provide a simple, intuitive interface that allows potential clients to easily locate the best web designers for their projects.
